Chinese number 1 mobile phone manufacturer ZTE oficially launched its mobile phone business in the Philippines. Claiming to be 4th in the world, ZTE appoints MSI-ECS as exclusive distributor. Six models will be immediately available to the market; two of them are feature phones and the rest are smartphones. They are also joining the tablet market by introducing ZTE Light Tab 2 V9A.
ZTE is no longer new to the Philippine market, they have been in the Telco space for a little while now directly competing with Huawei and is known to for its affordable gadgets like the USB broadband sticks available in prepaid kits.
ZTE-G S516 is ZTEs basic phone but supports MicroSD storage of up to 2G, it has LiIon 720mAh battery, an Mp3 player, flash light, and with built-in FM radio.
ZTE 788 aka ZTE Kis has a 3.5″ TFT capacitive touchscreen, 512MB with 4G pre-installed MicroSD upgradeable to 32G. Packed with 3MP back camera and VGA front camera. You can do video calls with this phone at 12fps. Battery is 1100mAh and can stand up to 4hours of talk time. This is a dual-SIM phone too. Kis V788 will be available for P7,490.
ZTE Skate 4.3H is their 4.3″ smartphone with TFT capacitive screen and a 480x800 screen resolution. It has 512MB, 4G MicroSD up to 32G expansion. This has 5MP back camera. Weighs 120g and with 1400mAh Li-ion battery that will give you 5 hours of talk time. Skate 4.3H will retail for P13,990.

ZTE Light Tab 2 V9A is ZTE's most affordable 7″ tablet with Dolby Sound Technology. It will be shipped with Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread. Powered by a 1.4Ghz Scorpion, Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon. Screen resolution is 600x1024 pixels, 4G ROM, 512 RAM and has a pre-installed 4G MicroSD upgradeable to 32G. Back camera is 3MP and front camera is VGA. Battery is Li-Ion 3400mAH which promises a 7-hour talk time, 300H standby. It weighs 389g and will retail for the price of P15,490
ZTE confirms that they are launching high-end series phones very soon, upcoming models like ZTE Grand will be dual-core smartphone and ZTE Era is quad-core. Pricing was not disclosed but they should us a phone that can really drown and still works.
